Step into Fathala Wildlife Reserve for a rare, controlled encounter with West African lions.
You will walk side by side with the lions, often within just a few feet, accompanied by trained guides who manage the animals’ movements and ensure safety at all times. It is most famous for its high concentration of monkeys that have become habituated to human visitors

Today marks the conclusion of the main trip. The group will travel together back into Senegal.
Guests continuing on the extension will transfer to Saly and check into the resort to begin the next phase of the experience. Those returning home will be transported to Dakar’s international airport for departure.
Depart The Gambia and travel back into Senegal, crossing the border and continuing along the coastal route. The full journey to Saly typically takes 4 to 6 hours, depending on border wait times and traffic, before arriving at your beachfront destination.
Upon arrival in Saly, you will check into the Mövenpick Resort Lamantin Saly and have the rest of the day at leisure to enjoy the property. Relax by the lagoon-style pool, unwind on the private beach, or take advantage of the spa, fitness center, and on-site restaurants.
